GCSE Results 2016

Middlewich High School once again celebrates excellent GCSE results

The Head Teacher, Mr K. Simpson, stated: “I am once again delighted with these GCSE results, which we can celebrate. They prove that with a positive attitude, resilience and determination, you will succeed. Our motto of ‘Achievement for All’ is reflected by the excellent holistic progress our students make in their 5 years here at Middlewich High School. Thank you to the staff who have worked so professionally to support our students and to our parents and carers for working in partnership with us to achieve these positive results.”

High standards in GCSE English and Maths have been maintained. Students achieved 67% A*-C in English Language and 97% in English Literature GCSE. In Mathematics GCSE, 62% of our students achieved a C grade or higher, with 97% for Maths Statistics GCSE.  

The sciences continue to excel, with 95% achieving A* - C grades in Separate Science GCSE. The school’s talent in providing a successful broad curriculum is reflected by A*-C achievement in: 100% German, 100% Spanish, 83% History and French, 78% Business Studies and 100% Art and Design.
