Tim Peake’s Soyuz Capsule 

The year 11 Astronomy GCSE class had the chance to go and see Tim Peake’s Soyuz capsule at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. To see a Russian space ship up close was an amazing experience. It was a surprise to everyone how small it was and that it had ferried three people, there and back to the International Space Station. Tim Peake spent six months on the ISS, completed a spacewalk and  various important scientific experiments. His Soyuz capsule is currently touring around the UK before going back to Russia. The pupils also had a tour around the museum. Mr Wilson would like to thank them and Mr Edwards for a most enjoyable ‘trip of a lifetime’.
