Excellence in Learning – Achievement for All

iValue Day

On Friday 21st September, we held our first iValue Day of the year.

On Friday 21st September, we held our first iValue Day of the year. Each year group had a different focus for the day, with various workshops for them to attend.  Year7’s focus was Relationships and Our Values, working with agencies such as Catch 22 and Resilience Donut. Year 8 completed the traditional ‘Cobblers’ Enterprise Day, with some fantastic business plans and colourful creations. Year 9 learnt about Personal Safety, by hearing from Cheshire Youth Commission about Social Media and E Safety as well as hearing about the consequences of anti-social behaviour from the Police. Year 10 heard from groups such as My listening Ear and Diversity Role Models as part of their Character and Resilience day, whilst Year 11 were Planning for the future with Cheshire College South and West, Warrington and Vale Royal College and Sir John Deane’s.

All years had the opportunity to visit our Careers Fair, where a variety of representatives from both industry and further education were able to give them an insight into their chosen field.

Huge thanks go to our visitors on the day; our iValue days are an invaluable part of our citizenship programme, and they wouldn’t be possible without the support of the agencies and organisations who give up their time to work with our students.
