An introduction to the school from our Head Teacher, Keith Simpson.
I am very proud and privileged to be the Head Teacher of Middlewich High School. We see ourselves as part of our local community and endeavour to play a full and active role in the life of the town and surrounding areas, whilst appreciating that we are all global citizens. We have, for example, been developing links with Kilimo High School in Kenya. Pupils are very proud and supportive of their school.
Our ethos ‘Achievement for All’ really does sum up our vision for our school. We aim to value and ensure the success of every member of our caring community. We are proud to be an inclusive school serving the needs of all. Ofsted described Middlewich as “inclusive and harmonious school” when rating us Good in all categories in July 2013.
We especially value our partnership with parents – Ofsted described our engagement with parents and carers as outstanding.
We have excellent links with our partner primary schools and local FE colleges in order to ensure smooth transition arrangements for our pupils at 11 and 16.
Middlewich is a good school but our goal is to constantly seek to improve and become outstanding. We want our pupils to ‘Aim High’.
