We have had another excellent week at Middlewich High School and today we are celebrating the many fantastic experiences which have happened over the past week.

Today we are celebrating ‘Wear It Pink’, where everyone is dressed in pink in order to raise money for the breast cancer charity. Many of our students and staff have been touched by cancer over the years and we value the emotional support we gain from our strong community. The school is very colourful and we hope to raise as much as we can in the process to help fund future, lifesaving research.

On Thursday night we held our annual Certificate Evening where we celebrated the achievements of our Year 11 who have  recently left us for pastures new. It was a very inspirational evening and all students were recognised for their high aspirations, work ethic and vision for their future. Thank you to all the staff, parents/carers and students who attended.

At the start of the week our students performed at the ‘Sing Your Heart Out concert’ at the Crewe Lyceum; they performed brilliantly. I’d like to thank all those who performed and Mrs Grierson for organising the event. This was an occasion the students will remember for the rest of their lives.

It’s been great fun seeing the students construct and finally erupt their volcanoes in Geography this week, they were all very impressive. Many thanks to all the parents and carers who helped create such masterpieces of natural destruction!

Next week is half term and everyone here at Middlewich High School is looking forward to a well-deserved break, ready to rest and prepare for the  next half-term before Christmas. I hope everybody enjoys their break and I look forward to getting back to share more good news with you all in two weeks’ time.

Regards

Mr Simpson
