I do hope you have all managed to watch the Year 11 Sports relief footage, playing their game with none other than Alan Shearer? If not please enjoy their skills and fame by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYtHwtrXz5A

Many thanks to Alan who very kindly recorded a personal message to our students having been so impressed by their manners, football skills and their dedication to raising funds for Sport Relief.

Students were jumping out of their seats when recently going to watch the play ‘Blood Brothers’ as part of their English course. It was a huge success and thank you to all the teachers giving up their evening to provide this experience for our children.

On Thursday  10 pupils took part in the BBC School Report day. This allowed our very own MHS pupils to try out being BBC Reporters for the day. We were able to post articles and videos to an outward facing website that can be seen by anyone around the world. This was also linked up to (and being pushed by) by the main BBC website, twitter account, TV and radio stations. It was a very exciting day and the pupils involved worked against deadlines to find stories, research, shoot videos, take photos and write some great articles about MHS including: the year 10 wedding, World Book Day, Sport Relief, our Skype link-up with Kenya and various other topics.

If you get chance, please take a look at the website we have created. www.mhs-bbc.uk

Our focus for this week is the launch of Emotional Healthy Schools and Science Week!
