Head's Blog - 27/05/16

Another half term has passed and I am so proud of our students and staff. Their hard work and dedication towards outstanding learning and well-being has been an inspiration and I must offer a formal Thank you, alongside best wishes for a good Half term break.

On the 25th May 2016 five students from Middlewich High School hosted a website day with five other schools for Emotionally Healthy Schools, a project to raise the awareness of emotional health across Cheshire East. It was a fantastic event and a worthy project, please look out for more info on EHS in the future.

The Year 10 Wedding!  A superb team effort to prepare and deliver such an enriching day, focussed on partnerships, trust, commitments for life and all the skills associated with preparing for the ‘big day’. Revd. Drew passes on his thanks to all the students who attended the ceremony. Full write up will be on our website.

And finally... On Monday staff were involved in delivering a very powerful assembly to launch ‘Race for Life’ on the 11th July.  Many thanks to colleagues who shared their stories about how cancer has touched their lives.  Students listening intently and demonstrated great respect for the bravery of our colleagues. Working together and aiming to raise £1500 will help tackle cancer by supporting research to ensure our survival rates continue to improve. Please look out for further details as we would like to invite our school community to join us on the 11th.

Have a great break.
