Middlewich High School

Achievement for all

Head's Blog - 10/06/16

We are back after a lovely half term holiday and rest. Year 11 have been exceptional since the examination season started, having prepared thoroughly and demonstrating a responsibility towards turning up on time (mostly!). I am very pleased to report that GCSE exams are therefore going well.

The official launch of the BBC Micro-bits has now started and Year 7 students will be experimenting with their small electronic devices to programme messages for example.

In preparation for the Race for Life on the 11th July Mr Morgan is running our ‘From couch potato to 5k’ club. A number of staff are engaged so if you see them running from the school please be reassured it is not because they are running away from our students but in training!

Our students still continue to inspire with their involvement in the Youth Conference and Creative Writing competition. Please look out for these news articles on the website where we hope to report success.

And finally…if you are ‘lucky’ enough to have tickets to see Barry Manilow this weekend look out for a certain teacher who will be there waving his phone (he might be wearing his school high-vis jacket!).
