Four representatives from the army gave up their time to come and conduct a training session on teamwork, dedication and leadership to Year 9 and Year 10 prefects. Despite the gruelling warm up, the representatives created a safe environment for us to learn in; we partook in a number of teamwork exercises that forced us to trust each other’s judgement, such as blindfolded stepping stones and a hidden numbers exercise. We also had a short session of telling the whole group about ourselves, which really built our confidence about speaking in front of others.
As a whole, the teachers who organised the event and the army representatives created a beneficial session that definitely helped us.
