On the Friday before half term, we were treated to another iValue day; it was an enjoyable and informative mix of health, education and politics!

Year 7 focused on Health and Safety, with a presentation of their work throughout the day and all finished off with a Zumba class thanks to our guest, Mrs Williamson.

Year 8 were looking at Democracy and worked with representatives from the Local Town Council to discuss their views of what Middlewich should be like in the future. Their responses were used to create their own manifestos and will be considered in the new Middlewich Neighbourhood Plan!

Year 9 were given the opportunity to try various subjects that they could pursue for GCSE before they make a final decision on their   Year 10 Pathways as well as learning about their options Post 16 with visitors from South Cheshire College.

Year 10 also focused on health with workshops varying from Internet Safety with PC Jane Cummins to Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships with Claire Maxey and Jane Harrison from Catch 22.

Year 11 had a really interesting day with a trip to Warrington University Campus to provide them with an insight into life after college.

Huge thanks to Miss Walker for organising the day, staff for running the sessions and to our visitors who came to run various sessions for us throughout the day; it was a very valuable experience for everyone involved.
