Excellence in Learning – Achievement for All

TEEP for Outstanding Learning

TEEP for Outstanding Learning

In pursuit of sustaining outstanding learning for our students, our teaching staff have been engaged in specialist training to enhance the teaching and learning in our school.  A very big "well done" to the 46 teachers and 20 teaching assistants who have now been successful in achieving their TEEP phase one certificate.

TEEP stands for the Teacher Effectiveness Programme and focuses on the methods recognised nationally which are proven to support rapid progress in lessons.  Students are prepared for their learning early in the lesson, encouraged to consider new information and apply their knowledge to demonstrate secure understanding.  Teachers use refined assessment techniques to measure the progress.

Fourteen professionals from our staff have now also successfully trained as TEEP phase two coaches and will be working alongside their colleagues this year to further develop outstanding learning experiences.
