Middlewich Sports Partnership Cross-country Competition
On Monday 20th October we had our first event of the year which was our annual cross-country competition. It is in its 11th year of running and, once again, it was a superb event at Cledford Primary School. There were 177 competitors from our 6 Partnership Primary schools. It was really well supported by many parents and staff and a team of Year 11 Sports Prefects helped make sure the whole event ran smoothly and efficiently. 2 Middlewich High School pupils (and ex-Cledford pupils), Aaron and Alex Doyle who now run for Vale Royal Athletics Club, were the hares for the course. And, keeping it in the family, their dad Stuart Doyle who also runs at Vale Royal and has competed at a National level, presented the certificates and trophies. The top 3 athletes in each race were recognised with a certificate and the winning school (made up of the 4 fastest runners) received a trophy.

As a Sports Partnership we are going to have a big drive on health and fitness this year and we will be targeting students in Year 3 & 4.
