Looking to the Future

On the Friday before the Easter Holidays the astronomy group in year 11 visited Manchester to see Tim Peak’s soyuz capsule. This was a once in a life time opportunity and I thank Mr Wilson for organizing the trip and Mr Edwards for driving. The day was an interesting insight into the life of an astronaut which we should be proud to witness.
Last week, a selection of 20 year 9s and 10s experienced a trip to the prestigious Cambridge University campus. Here they were able to get an insight into university life, and what it has to offer from an ex-pupil. The day was enjoyed and treasured by everyone who attended, so thank you to all the teachers who helped make the trip possible.
The first GCSE exam for the current year 11s is mere weeks away, soon to be followed by the intense final month of exams. Everyone is hard at work revising to ensure they achieve their best grades possible, supported by school through various revision sessions and Easter school. So good luck to everyone for the next month of exams; we all hope you get the best results possible!
