Middlewich High School

Excellence in Learning – Achievement for All

Festive Times!

18th December 2018

Year 11 received their mock exam results on the 3rd of December. Envelopes containing their well-deserved grades were handed to each student in an assembly where they were all opened together to celebrate each other’s successes. Since receiving their results, the students have been going through their exam papers in class to correct and learn from mistakes. Teachers have been pleased by many students’ grades and recognise the hard work students have put into revision.

Yesterday, our school’s vocal group and some of our GCSE music students went to the local Manor Care Home to sing and perform Christmas carols. With Mrs Grierson accompanying on an acoustic guitar during ‘Silent Night’, the students encouraged the audience to join in. The audience also received a performance from Kier Grierson and Peter Hare performing ‘Let Her Go’ by Passenger, with Kier playing the ukulele and Peter singing.

Soon some of our students will be taking a CIDA IT exam. This exam will aid their coursework for IT and Computing. Some year 11s have already experienced the exam but some will be taking it for the first time. We send our support to all of these students and wish them the best of luck in January.

Thanks and Have a good Christmas
