Meet Our New Student Leadership Team
Our new Head Boy, Head Girl and their deputies tell us a bit about themselves.
Hello, my name is Noah Curran and I was recently appointed to the role of Head Boy at Middlewich High School. Many of my interests and passions have developed during my time here, from maths and computer science to music and art. I would like to follow a career in computer science or music, both of which I have taken as GCSEs along with Spanish. I am particularly interested in cyber security and session performance work and am considering taking music, music tech, maths and computer science for A levels. I started learning guitar in year 7 (although I did have flute lessons in primary school) and have been hooked ever since, but I have always been passionate about music and technology. In my spare time, I spend a lot of time on my computer, most of which is spent gaming or browsing the internet, although I also do rock climbing, preferring leading over bouldering.
Hello, my name is Hannah Eyres and I was given the role of Head Girl at Middlewich High School. I feel very privileged to have this role, and I intend to fulfil my duties to the best of my ability. After attending this school for four years I’ve been given many opportunities (like this one) where I’ve been able to do many things, such as develop my skills and just enjoy myself, completing my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and going on various trips. For my GCSE options I decided to do Geography, Astronomy and Media, because I find them all enjoyable and very interesting. I believe that these subjects will benefit me in the future, where I want to have a career in science (which is my favourite subject). At home I enjoy reading, drawing, and relaxing by watching films and listening to music. After asking my friends to describe me they’ve said that I’m: friendly, reliable, happy, motivated, creative and determined. And it’s these and other qualities that I want to put into my role as Head Girl, by always trying my hardest with any task and helping everyone that I can.
Greetings. My name is David and I was recently chosen to be Deputy Head Boy at this school. During my time here I have done many things with the school, including going on the sports tour to Spain and completing my bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. I chose to do History, Astronomy and Spanish because I enjoy them all. Each subject can offer me a variety of different pathways to the future. If I had to choose a favourite then it would be a close win for History because I enjoy researching in my spare time. Outside of school, I play football for Middlewich Town and have done since I was 7, I also enjoy gaming and politics. I look forward to my role and helping anyone who needs it.
My name is Serena Jerham and I am Deputy Head Girl this year at Middlewich High School. I am a well-balanced student who enjoys all subjects, particularly PE, History and Science. For my GCSEs, I opted to take Spanish, History and PE because they offer me a wide range of learning in different skill areas. My friends consider me as intelligent, a little bit goofy, honest and in general a very true friend. In my spare time, I love to play sports and spend time with my friends over the weekend. I have been dancing ballet, contemporary and tap since I was 2 years old, which I still do today at the Laura Wilson School of Dance. I also complete voluntary work weekly with the Headway Charity, and will be starting a hospital volunteer scheme when I am 16. I have completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and will soon be hoping to begin the silver. To relax, I enjoy watching TV programmes such as Grey’s Anatomy and the Vampire Diaries whenever I have free time from revision and homework. I would like to go on after school to study at Sir John Deane’s College, and then onto Edinburgh University to become a surgeon in the future. I will be here for any students to help whenever it is needed, and will offer emotional and physical support to those in need.
