Emotionally Healthy Schools
Following the success of Phases 1 and 2 of the Emotionally Healthy Schools Programme, Phase 3; The Emotionally Healthy Children and Young People’s Service will be delivered by CWP and Partners; Visyon, Clasp, Middlewich High School, Just Drop-in and Kooth. The new service will continue to deliver the Emotionally Healthy Schools Programme over the next 2 years and through a blended approach provide individualised strategic support for schools and education settings, facing challenging situations, encouraging participation and understanding of pathways to support easy access to advice and guidance on emotional health and wellbeing.
The partnership will also support schools and education settings:
• In the use of the AcSEED audit allowing settings to identify gaps in provision and prioritise further actions to support strategic development of emotional wellbeing work to embed an ethos which contributes to a culture of positive emotional health and wellbeing across the setting.
• To support families through schools programmes in developing methods to engage families, especially those who have traditionally been ‘hard to reach’.
• To develop resources and systems aligned to the new OFSTED framework and support the embedding of emotional health and wellbeing practices within schools.
• Through facilitation, develop a ‘tiered supervision network’ across settings to support staff wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance. This will be done through a ‘train the trainer’ and coaching approach, to provide long-term sustainability in schools and education settings.
Network meetings/events for education settings will also enable the sharing of good practice and peer support for all education settings within the Cheshire East footprint.
