CiDA promotes the creative use of digital applications, enabling students to become active digital producers of digital content.

Students that enjoy using digital products will love this qualification. Its real-life, outcome-driven approach inspires and challenges students to demonstrate what they know and are able to do in real-world contexts.

CiDA promotes independent learning
The project-based nature of this qualification allows students to progress at their own speed and showcase what they are capable of. 

Assessment information

25% Practical exam. Students are required to create a website in 2.5 hours.

75% Coursework. Students create a series of tasks on a variety of applications and display their work on an e-portfolio.

Both practical exam and coursework are graded A*-G.

How will studying ICT help me in the future?

Students can continue to study ICT either vocationally or academically at college and university. A range of courses are available.

Career opportunities include: Software Designer, Games Developer, Graphics Designer, Software Designer, Website Developer, Network Manager, Telecoms Engineer, Security Manager, ICT Project Manager.
