I commenced my career in the Food and Drinks Industry, working within logistics and manufacturing and gained my Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport. I became a General Manager of a £150m turnover business and moved to live in Middlewich. Following a redundancy, I re-trained at Manchester Metropolitan University gaining a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Studies in Education. After gaining a teaching post with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, I taught and assessed qualifications for adults in logistics and management subjects across the world.
After 10 years I accepted a post in Abu Dhabi as Head of Programme at the Military Logistics Academy and lived in Dubai. Returning home 3 years later I worked delivering NVQ level 2-5 for Real Time Training as well as designing and delivering commercial bespoke training. Retiring in 2015 in 2017 I became a Governor of a local Primary School where I chair the Safeguarding & Finance committee. In 2019 I joined the Governing Body of Middlewich High School.
